Pencil Box
thingiverse
This is a sturdy kid's pencil box/case I made for my small granddaughter to keep her coloring pencils together. It's designed to hold 12 pencils, each measuring 170 mm x 9.5 mm in diameter, and consists of two printed parts and eight small cylindrical magnets available online. The body part can be printed upright with a 0.3 mm layer height and 20% infill. The lid can be printed with a 0.2 mm layer height and 25% infill. It may be necessary to clear the holes with a 4 mm drill to insert the magnets easily, but using a hot soldering iron will also work - just be careful not to demagnetize them. First, put some epoxy glue in the holes, then carefully match the polarity of the magnets on the body and lid.
