Pen Plotter Holder
thingiverse
This pen holder uses rubber bands to both grip the pen firmly and apply gentle downward pressure, ensuring a secure hold. It mounts seamlessly to my FLSUN i3 printer, but I've included a link to my TinkerCad design so you can easily adjust the mount to suit your needs. After researching various pen holders online, I was determined to create one that didn't rely on screws and could accommodate a wide range of drawing tools. The rubber bands provide a comfortable grip for pens of all sizes, from fine tips to thick markers like Sharpies. To design this pen holder, I employed the same software and process used for creating paths in gcode files for laser engraver attachments. Simply start with Inkscape, load an image, then carefully trace its path and generate the necessary code using the J Tech Photonics Laser Tool.
