Pen & Pencil holder

I spent 17 hours waiting for my printer to finish printing this at an agonizingly slow layer height of 0.200 mm. This intricate design is the perfect test for stringing - if your printer can handle it with ease, you're in good shape. I leveraged the powerful WeaverBird add-on in Grasshopper to bring this complex design to life (which explains why the STL file bears the wb3 suffix). The part boasts a circular top and bottom, but its middle is a unique 7-sided equilateral polygon. This part makes for an excellent test of slicer prowess - Simplify3D struggled mightily, adding solid fill layers in several spots, so I didn't even bother trying to print it. Kisslicer sliced it okay, but the final product was marred by excessive strings, both across the holes and within the inner diameter. Craftware, however, delivered a stellar performance, producing minimal strings that were easily eliminated with a quick blast from a hair dryer.
