<h3>A Mount for Your Monoprice Select Mini to Turn It into a Plotter That's Completely Reversible.</h3> <h5>MATERIALS REQUIRED:</h5> - A Rollerball Pen or a Marker - A Roll of Tape - 2-4 Binder Clips <h5>HOW TO USE THE MOUNT:</h5> 1. Secure the mount on top of the fan and insert a pen inside it. If the pen doesn't fit, use some tape to coax it into place. 2. Move the extruder all the way down manually to the end stop switch. 3. Ensure that the pen is in contact with the bed enough to stain it. 4. Secure a piece of paper onto the build plate using binder clips. <h5>HOW TO PLOT:</h5> 1. Load up an image into Paint.NET. 2. Use the "Adjustments -> Posterize" option and set all values to 2. 3. Save the image. 4. Load up your new image into Cura. 5. In the dialog box that pops up, set the height to 0.35 and the base to 1mm. Also use "darker is higher." 6. Click OK. 7. In the print settings, set layer height to 0.175 and line width to 0.1mm. 8. Turn on retraction and Z Hop. 9. Turn off print cooling. 10. Set heatbed to 0 degrees and nozzle to 10 degrees. 11. Lower the model under the build plate until the image background is gone, leaving only the desired details visible. Optional: Inspect the .gcode file to make sure the image is only one layer tall. 12. Have fun with your new 2D printing project!
