Pen holder for journal notebook
thingiverse
This is a compact pen holder designed specifically for Moleskine or similar journals, where a dedicated space for writing instruments can be created without compromising the integrity of the notebook itself. To achieve this, it slides smoothly over either side of the cover, providing an unobtrusive yet practical solution. The design process began in Fusion 360, where the initial model was crafted; subsequently, support was added via Meshmixer, a tool renowned for its ease of use and flexibility. A notable advantage of Meshmixer's capabilities is its ability to customize support structures with precision and efficiency, making it an indispensable asset during the build process. Upon completion, the internal supports were effortlessly removed using needle-nose pliers. The model was built using a Prusa MK2 3D printer, operating at a temperature of 195 C with Hatchbox grey filament, which produced a 0.2 mm layer thickness. The entire printing process took approximately an hour to complete.
