Holding the pen within limits restricts its X/Y range, causing it to bump against the frame at maximum capacity! This custom holder was crafted specifically to fit snugly on the E3D hotend 30mm fan. Initially, I installed it without screws, and to my surprise, it fit remarkably well despite some minor vertical movement. However, the pen requires sufficient space to apply pressure, so modifications are necessary to ensure proper leveling. To achieve this, you'll need to add an attachment to the Z-limit switch. In my setup, a small 10x10x20 block on the stage proved to be the perfect solution. I've included the STL file, OpenSCAD design, and INI file used in my experimentation - keep in mind that this is still a work-in-progress.
