My 3rd-grade students created numerous 3D designs, showcasing their engineering skills. Working in teams, they applied the engineering design process to tackle a client's challenge. Their classmate-turned-client was a teacher drowning in clutter on his desk. The client's go-to tools were fountain pens and markers, which influenced the group's creative vision. To make the design more relatable, they cleverly removed the "Mr." from their teacher's name, resulting in a sleeker presentation.
