Pelican Kayak Hatch Bin
thingiverse
This is an insert I designed to fit snugly inside the smaller hatch on my Pelican Enforcer 120x. Originally, the hatch was just a gaping hole into the hull, so items placed in it would inevitably slide around and become inaccessible. With this insert, you can easily stash small items within reach. The same hatch is used on most of Pelican's SOT kayaks, and depending on hull depth, this insert should fit seamlessly in all of them. The bottom attaches to the walls using six M3*5mm machine screws. **UPDATE 12/05/2021**: I've added a v2 version of this model with enhanced rigidity for both the walls and the bottom. The new bottom is 2mm thick, featuring 1mm thick rails for increased strength. The walls now boast 1mm thick rails to better resist deformation under load. The slot for the lid's locking mechanism has been extended and rounded for improved clearance.
