Pelican clips to hold Surface Pro 4 to negative-angled laptop stand
thingiverse
I have a Furinno adjustable lapdesk (K6-BK) and wanted it to hold my Surface Pro 4 at a comfortable angle for TV & video calls from bed, so I created these little pelican-shaped clips that hook over the curve at the back of the desk and keep the tablet firmly positioned in the recess at the desk's hinge. The hinge bears almost all of the tablet's weight. You can easily adapt this design to other stands with a similar recess by remixing it. I've included the 3MF file to make that process even simpler. (Note: the "narrower gap" version has a smaller opening, providing more friction so it doesn't slide around as much on the lap desk.)
