I created a model of a pelican for my bird-enthusiast friend by printing the body and peak separately and gluing them together, allowing me to paint the beak orange. Alternatively, I could have printed it as one piece and painted it afterwards. The print came out fairly well, but if you print it as one piece, make sure there are plenty of supports under the beak.
