Peije (Photogrammetry Study)
sketchfab
This is a scan from a statue that I created with Agisoft Metashape using a Panasonic Lumix GH5. I took 233 photos in three rows with two softboxes and a turntable. Without a green or white screen to prevent Agisoft from calculating the background, I improvised by using a white door as my backdrop. Statue Background: Peije (1879-1941) was a street musician born in Ureterp as Freerk de Jong, who became a vibrant and well-known figure in Drachten and its surroundings at the start of the 20th century. In my hometown, there is a large statue of him situated on the site where the drawbridge used to span the Drachtster Compagnonsvaart. Historically, people gathered at this location, and Peije would entertain them with his music.
