The new version is designed to be quieter than the Mark I. This model is essentially silent! The mission remains the same - to gently blow air over laboratory specimens and prepared slides, without disturbing or contaminating them. A major redesign replaces the DC Motor # 130 with a standard 40mm fan, similar to the one found on most 3D hot-ends. Additionally, it uses that convenient 10 x 15 plug-in toggle switch, just like the Mark I. It's worth noting there are three common types of popular, 40x40mm fans: 5V, 12V, and 24V. I scored mine on eBay for approximately $0.99 each.
