Pegboard Template
thingiverse
I acquired a pegboard a few months ago, and I believed it would be beneficial to have a designated spot where I could begin when designing storage for my tools or other items that require support from my pegboard. The pegboard's holes are approximately 7mm wide in diameter. The distance between the center of each hole is roughly 25mm. Right now, I'm working with a layout featuring 2 pegs through 5 pegs, and to simplify the addition process for more pegs, I included a customizable template. Simply click on one vertex in a given peg, then move it 25mm left or right before adjusting its structure. Connecting all elements completes the job efficiently. Later, I intend to experiment with vertical supports as well. However, the success of this idea remains uncertain until further evaluation. When printed correctly, these support posts exhibit considerable strength. However, initially, one design feature caused it to consistently break apart because it wasn't correctly assembled from the start. To prevent such mishaps in future instances, observe each peg when viewing its interior. A clear sightline will indicate if any adjustments are required for better structural integrity. These storage units are directly based on a different model that I can no longer identify. Nonetheless, I would like to acknowledge the original creator of this concept. If you have knowledge regarding where I encountered it originally, please let me know. Update: Following some experimentation, I finally had a chance to test a secondary row on my pegboard setup and was pleased with how seamlessly everything fitted into place and securely stayed firm in position. To further benefit from these files for those interested, I am including both the STL file for direct printing and the BLender script (.blend) used during creation for customization options.
