Pegboard Substitute

Pegboard Substitute

This pegboard substitute allows you to utilize standard peg board items on almost any surface without requiring a pegboard. You can mount a single item or multiple ones simultaneously. Several are shown mounted above my garage door close to the ceiling, where it would be impossible to install on a regular pegboard without first installing and then mounting the board. To use them, simply turn 90 degrees and then mount, finally turning back. They work seamlessly with both 1/4 and 1/8 inch items. I printed these using PLA, which appears to be plenty strong, especially for light-duty applications. However, I am concerned that if holding something extremely heavy, one may need a stronger material. Another issue is the possibility of PLA creeping over time, making it potentially better suited to use alternative materials.
