Pegboard rivet
thingiverse
For my parametric pegboard drawers, I needed a printable fastener that could be used without needing support. I liked the idea behind some printable rivets but they were designed to be printed upright, putting greatest stress along weakest axis of part. In tests, they proved too brittle to use reliably. I designed these rivets to be printed horizontally without support, allowing for strong and flexible parts. They feature built-in breakaway tabs that help them adhere to print bed, and can be easily pulled off with pliers or flush cutters after printing. The head is designed to be used with a countersunk hole for flush mounting, and a countersunk M3 screw can be used to lock the rivet in place for secure mounting. They have worked well printed in both PETG and PLA, although I slightly prefer more flexible PETG for this application. * edit: Rotated default orientation in STL to print orientation for convenience.
