Pegboard New Hole Drilling Template

Pegboard New Hole Drilling Template

I have a workbench with a pegboard back featuring 1/4-inch holes spaced one inch apart. The pegboard itself had considerable unused space around its edges, prompting me to design a drill template to optimize this area. Instead of wasting time and resources on manual modifications, I decided to print the template using my CAD software. I created this template in Autodesk Fusion 360, generating the necessary G-code with Cura. Upon initial printing without any adjustments, I noticed that the spacing between holes and pegs was slightly greater than intended due to horizontal expansion issues. To address this problem, I adjusted the Horizontal Expansion setting to -.06, which unfortunately resulted in smaller-than-desired peg diameters. Undeterred, I reset the Horizontal Expansion to zero and tweaked the Scaling parameter to 99%. This adjustment yielded the correct spacing for my needs. Despite a few trial-and-error steps, the template worked as intended, meeting my requirements. Perhaps it will serve you equally well.
