I got new safety glasses and needed to keep them somewhere safe. I use pegboard, so that was the perfect place. I looked at a bunch of the options available here (see below for a list) but none of them were quite what I wanted - most hold the glasses by the bridge, which might not work so well with these as they have rubber nose pads. So I created my own. The holder is quite long as these safety glasses wrap around quite a bit and wind up being pretty deep.

This is designed for 1" pegboard with 1/4" holes.

If you think it's just too big or don't like it for whatever reason, here are some other designs for holding safety glasses on pegboard:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:321835

Square pegboard, won't work for me.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3494592

Holds the glasses by the bridge, might not work with my glasses. (much smaller/faster print, though!)

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3977583

Probably the closest to the design I came up with. Might not have been quite long enough and I don't like having the pegs run across layer lines like that. Would probably be just fine, though.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4430038

Another that holds it backwards via the bridge. Simple and quick print but to me that just doesn't look "right"

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4191179

Different sizes but still holds the glasses "backwards".

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3391285

A different option that holds the glasses by the earpiece. Nice, but I wanted easier access.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3516318

Just a smaller pegs version of a previous thing.

Print Settings

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.3mm

Infill:

20%

Filament: eSun PLA white

Notes:

Prints with no supports. You can do supports from the pegs but if you don't it'll just be a little messy under the top pegs, which shouldn't cause too much trouble. If it interferes with the holes, it's an easy cleanup.

Category: Organization
