03/29/2020 update: Added Glock 2-magazine holder, Beretta 81 holder, BX-25 holder, and a STANAG pattern AR-15 magazine holder. The purpose of this project was to design a series of models that can be used to hang standard capacity magazines on a mounted piece of pegboard for ease of access, clear organization, and safe storage. This project went through several iterations before a final design was selected. Earlier revisions used less space but did not have the strength necessary to support multiple magazines for an extended period of time. This version results in more than one magazine being mounted per inch (distance between two pegboard holes) in most instances, and features resized arms to allow mounts to sit reasonably flush next to each other when multiple holders are needed. Magazines included in this posting have been successfully used to hang unloaded (and, for some mounts noted below, fully loaded) magazines for over four months with no detectable degradation. There were no existing models for pegboard magazine holders that I was able to locate; this project drew inspiration from several existing models, most notably the AR-15 PMAG Holder by Mikeyman64 and the Pegboard Pliers Holder by HunterGreen. Other than the 1911 magazine holder, these magazine holders are designed to have minimal bend to allow magazines to be seated, and to snap back into place once the magazines are inserted. The following is a list of magazine holders that are included in this collection, including the magazine the model was designed for, other standard capacity magazines which I have confirmed to fit the listed model, and the number of magazines which that specific model will hold. Please note that unless specifically noted, these magazines have not been tested to hold fully loaded magazines. * magHolder2 1911 (2): This is designed for 1911 magazines. No other magazines were tested. It will hold two magazines. * magHolder2 AK (1): This is designed for AK-47 Magpul PMAGs. It will also hold Tapco Ruger Mini 14 magazines. It will hold one magazine. * magHolder2 AK (2): This is designed for AK-47 Magpul PMAGs. It will also hold Tapco Ruger Mini 14 magazines. It will hold two magazines. * magHolder2 AR (2): This is designed for AR-15 Magpul PMAGs. It will also hold J&E 10 round AR-15 magazines. It will hold two magazines. * magHolder2 AR (3): This is designed for AR-15 Magpul PMAGs. It will also hold J&E 10 round AR-15 magazines. It will hold three magazines. * magHolder2 AR-alum (3): This is designed for AR-15 aluminum magazines, but should work on any STANAG mag. It will hold three magazines. * magHolder2 Beretta 81 (3): This is designed for Beretta 81 magazines. It will hold three magazines. * magHolder2 Bersa (2): This is designed for Bersa magazines. No other magazines were tested. It will hold two magazines. * magHolder2 Glock (2): Same as the above Glock model, but this version holds two magazines. * magHolder2 HPC (3): This is designed for OEM magazines Hi-Point Carbine (HPC) magazines. It will also hold redball HPC magazines. It will hold three magazines. * magHolder2 LRSR (2): This is designed for AR-10 Magpul LR/SR PMAGs. No other magazines were tested. It will hold two magazines. * magHolder2 LRSR (2) - too big: This was modelled for the Magpul LR/SR .308 AR-10 magazines, but the measurements are off. If you have a magazine slightly larger than the LR/SR, this might work for it. * magHolder2 M14 (2): This is designed for OEM Ruger Mini 14 magazines. It is unlikely to hold any other magazines. It will hold two magazines. * magHolder2 Shield (2): This is designed for M&P Shield (version one or two) magazines. No other magazines were tested. It will hold two magazines. * magHolder2 Shield (3): This is designed for M&P Shield (version one or two) magazines. It will also hold two M&P 22 Compact magazines. It will hold three magazines. It is of note that many other magazines will likely work in one of the above magazine holders; I have listed only the magazines which I have personally tested. If you would like me to design a magazine holder for a specific magazine not included above, feel free to contact me to discuss.
