Pegboard Hex Bit Holder
thingiverse
I needed a custom hex bit holder for random bits on my workbench, so I designed and 3D printed it from two separate pieces that interlock perfectly. Print Settings: Printer: XYZ daVinci 1.0 Pro Rafts: It doesn't matter whether or not to use rafts. Supports: No supports were required for this design. Resolution: The printer resolution was set at 0.2mm for a precise print job. Infill: The infill percentage was set at 15% to achieve the right balance between weight and strength. Notes: To make assembly easier, I built some break-away supports into the bit holder that need to be trimmed away before joining the two pieces together. Post-Printing: After printing my parts in ABS plastic, I used acetone as a solvent to "glue" the piece together when I interlocked them.
