Hardware for building a set of shelves with pegboard. Each shelf has its own door that folds down for access and latches in the vertical position to prevent small items from falling and slow the accumulation of dust. Shelves may be added above or below as necessary.Included:Hinges: print in place w/o support, that also serve as the fixed side of the latch. The latches are secured to the shelves with #6 x 0.75" wood screws. The other side of the hinge has a slot for 3/32" (0.093") thick acrylic. A "single sided" version of the hinge is provided for use on the top shelf.Latches with a slot (like the hinges) for 3/32" thick acrylicWedges for vertically seating the shelves in the pegboard. Each wedge has an embedded nut, with which they are seated by a 2-56 screw. You'll also need 1x4 board, cut to length. Other sizes can presumably also be used, but this is what the design is based on. 3/32" thick acrylic sheet, cut to size #6 x 0.75" wood screws. This length works well with the 0.75" true thickness of 1x4 boards. 2-56 screws, approximately 1" long and 2-56 nuts for driving in the wedges to seat the shelf boards in the pegboard [Square Bend Hooks](https://a.co/d/f4yBm0r), 0.106-inch x 1-3/8-inch, for securing the shelf boards to the pegboard Beading, approximately 0.25" tall for closing the gap (if desired) between the acrylic doors and the bottom shelf. PVA, "school" or "white" glue for securing the acrylic sheet doors to the hinges and the latches. Other adhesives may also work (and the design could potentially be improved by using screws instead, though this would require match-drilling the acrylic sheet), but PVA has thus far been strong enough, doesn't mar the acrylic, and can be cleaned away with water. Wood glue for attaching the beading to the shelf boards Some means of enclosing the ends of the shelves. I've used acrylic sheet or card stock for this. Optional: HO-scale train track for holding trains Optional: [Chocks](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6334948) for preventing the train cars from rolling.Notes on the designThe design seeks to minimize the complexity of the acrylic doors. No drilling is required, only cutting to size. The doors are intended to prevent items from falling off the shelves during an earthquake and to minimize dust accumulation. The acrylic doors fold down to approximately a 70-degree angle.A vertical spacing of 4" is good for HO-scale train storage. Each door folds down and rests against the latches on the shelf below. In this way, the door may be opened and both hands are free to place or remove items from the shelf.I've made shelves 36" in length (two hinges and two latches per door) as well as 47" inches in length( three hinges and two latches per door)The v3 versions of the files are interchangeable with the other versions. In addition to various small improvements, v3 enables connecting the hinges and latches to the acrylic doors with 2-56 screws (button head, 0.25 inch long) and nuts. It is recommended to "seat" the nuts in the parts before starting to work with acrylic sheet. The fit for the nuts is deliberately tight; use a screw to pull them into the hexagonal recess. I match drilled the holes for the hinges and latches after the acrylic sheet was in-place.
