Pegasus
thingiverse
1:100 model of the Pegasus rocket developed by Orbital ATK which was later purchased by Northrop Grumman. On April 5, 1990 Pegasus had its first flight making it the first privately developed and flown orbital rocket. Pegasus is notable for a few things. Primarily it is an air launched rocket meaning it is carried under the belly of an aircraft (most flights were with an L-1011) where once at the appropriate altitude would drop the rocket. Next thing is, the rocket comprises of almost entirely solid rocket motors. stages 1-3 were solid rocket motors with an optional 4th liquid propulsion stage for more precise orbital insertion. Finally the rocket had a large delta wing atop its fuselage to keep it stable for its first phase of flight after being dropped. The STL listed above has thicker wings than in the render because they were far too thin and would not show up in Cura. I made the wings thicker for a better print but if anyone wants the files for the more realistic thin winged version feel free to message me.
