Virtual model of Pedra do Vasco outcrop, municipality of Santana da Boa Vista - RS. The model shows cross-bedded sandstones, even in the Pedra Pintada Formation, which records interbedded aeolian and fluvial depositional systems, with depositional control occurring due to variations in precipitation rate. These rocks were deposited in an eolian environment around 547-535 million years ago, between the end of the Ediacaran period and the beginning of the Cambrian.
