I'm designing custom 3D printed pedals for my lowboy quad para-glider setup. The pedals clamp securely onto the 25mm foot steering bar, which is angled inward at 7.5 degrees for improved comfort compared to the standard round bar. Two versions are available: a flat pedal and one with texture for enhanced grip. The components are assembled using M3 screws and knurl nuts. My pedals are printed in PETG with 90% fill. I've also experimented with carbon fiber ABS, but I'm not convinced it offers any significant advantages over PETG. I'll put it to the test when a PETG pedal fails. Additionally, I designed a TPU cover that provides better grip and stretches over the pedals before snapping into place. To install it, use a flat screwdriver to lever it on carefully, taking note of the support material around the groove in the cover that needs to be removed first. Simply punch a hole through this material with a tool and grasp it with pointy pliers to peel it off.
