Pedal Mod for Grand Piano part 1 of 2 - Push Rod Brackets.
thingiverse
This first part of a two-part set presents brackets and hinges that modify a grand piano's sustain pedal action. With this modification, players can activate the pedal by sliding their right knee to the left. The brackets guide the push-rod, customizable to accommodate various pedal frame sizes and push-rod diameters. This innovative design caters specifically to pianists who temporarily cannot put pressure on their feet, enabling them to continue using pedals. The end goal is a nearly effortless sustain system for long notes. Still in development, feedback is encouraged! A detailed explanation is available at http://youtu.be/Jz0QdeYjpFk.
