Pedal insert for measuring saddle height

Pedal insert for measuring saddle height

prusaprinters

Replaces the drive side pedal to allow precise measurement of saddle height from the centerline of the pedal spindle. Note! This model is larger than the one in the photos. After printing that prototype I realized it was too small to be used comfortably so I scaled it up. See the last photo for an accurate size representation.Remove the pedal on the drive side and thread this in. Tighten until it just stops, then back it out until the arrow points up along the crank arm and towards the saddle. Then you can hook a standard tape measure in the hook and you'll be measuring directly off the centerline of the crank spindle. Use the tape measure to visually center the cranks so you know they're inline.Created by request from Jerome Alix, World Cup MTB mechanic. Posted on Instagram and reshared by @toolboxwars.
