Pedal for Ikea 12L STRAPATS trash can/rubbish bin

Replacement pedal for the IKEA STRAPATS 12L (or 11.5L) rubbish bin. The metal of the original pedal can break with repeated use. This saved me from having to buying an entire new replacement bin. This replacement pedal has been in use for my bin at home for over a year now with no issues. To install, first completely remove the parts of the old pedal from the bin until there are just two empty slits where the previous pedal was. Then push the replacement pedal through the slits of the bin (this requires some effort for a tight fit). Once the replacement pedal is in place, tie together the two holes of the replacement pedal using a straightened-out paperclip so that the pedal stays in place. See photos for a visual aid.
