PebbleTime Dock
pinshape
Not Satisfied with the initial design, I opted to create this dock that is taller and showcases the Pebble time perfectly. The dock's simplicity belies its functionality, as the USB cable fits seamlessly into place, incorporated in a way that makes it emerge from the back smoothly. Even without the charging cable, the PebbleTime can sit securely on the dock, perfect for using it as a display dock. I hope you appreciate my handiwork. If you don't have access to a 3D printer, you can find this dock on Etsy. To print it, simply use supports – they're minimal, so material waste is minimized. PLA is an ideal choice, with two shells and 10% infill providing ample sturdiness; the print time comes in at approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes (Replicator2). I experimented with Laywood but found it too soft even at 50% infill, so I added a bent metal wire for support – it seems my Laywood was more flexible than expected.
