Pebble Time Round Charging Stand
thingiverse
The design for a simple vertical stand for the Pebble Time Round features a straightforward approach that allows the straps to hang downwards instead of being threaded through gaps as required in other designs. This quick 15-minute creation may be updated or refined once I've decided whether to keep my PTR over my PTS, but it works well enough as is. A small strip of 3M 03609 VHB tape secures the charging cable into the printed part, while a few strips of the same adhesive hold the wire in place behind the side flange. Most auto parts stores carry this versatile tape for trim bonding. To keep the stand stable on any surface, it's essential to use a Command Adhesive strip between the bottom of the stand and the surface top; the weight of the stand is not sufficient to allow you to simply pull the watch off, and its small size makes it prone to tipping over. Printed on an Ultimaker 2 with 0.2mm layer heights at 40 mm/s and 50% infill for structural rigidity, this design does not require any support materials. As expected, many will ask about the band; I use the 20mm IP Black Milanese Mesh version from Watchgecko, a reliable source since I started Pebbling almost two years ago. I've grown to love these straps dearly and have been using them ever since.
