Peat Pellet Seedling Starter Planter Pot, Shade and Support

I decided to repurpose some old 36mm Jiffy brand peat pellets to create a single-serving germination kit for them. The shade covers the seedling and prevents harsh light from penetrating, while keeping moisture trapped inside. Easy to assemble and thoroughly tested. 1. Soak a peat pellet in warm water until it reaches about 1 1/2" (38mm) in height. 2. Place the soaked pellet into the pot. 3. Allow the pellet to cool down to room temperature before proceeding. 4. Insert a few seeds into the pellet according to the seed packet's instructions. 5. Cover the seeds with the shade. 6. Keep the setup away from direct sunlight for a few days, watering only when the pellet turns light brown. 7. Remove the shade once the seedlings have grown to 1-2" (25-50mm) in height. 8. Gradually expose the seedlings to outdoor conditions and bring them indoors at night. 9. Eliminate the less-dominant seedlings from the setup. 10. Allow the dominant seedling to develop a rootball within the pallet. 11. Transplant the seedling into a larger pot filled with fresh potting soil. Edit: I've added two new pieces of support apparatus, 1/4" (tested) and 1/8" (untested) in diameter, to aid in rehabilitating "legged" seedlings that grew too tall, too fast, and too thin. These supports help prop them up so they don't topple over and perish.
