<p>This is a model of a device that may or may not have seen used in medieval times.</p><p>The main shaft can be printed as one piece or in two halves that are then glued together with help from the locator holes that accept 1.75mm filament. I have found that the threads turn out better if printed that way.</p><p>assembly:</p><ol><li>If the shaft was printed in halves: use extra filament as alignment pins and glue the halves together.</li><li>glue the leaves into the channel of the retaining collar</li><li>slide the collar onto the short end of the shaft</li><li>snap the arms into each leaf</li><li>snap the other end of the arms into the pivot collar</li><li>screw the pivot collar onto the shaft</li><li>screw the knurled knob onto the short end of the shaft, glue optional</li></ol>
