PeakDesign SlimLink to DJI OM5/OM6 Gimbal Interface

I absolutely LOVE—and can't recommend highly enough—PeakDesign's case for my iPhone 14 Pro Max (another great, beautifully engineered PeakDesign product…), and I've also been a fan of DJI's Osmo family of gimbals since they first introduced it.

The last two versions of the gimbal, the OM5 and OM6, use a nifty magnet system to attach the phone clamp to the gimbal itself, but the clamp itself is, in my opinion, not great, and since the PeakDesign phone cases use a great low-profile mounting system called SlimLink, I decided to create my own, much smaller and practical, interface to connect the gimbal to the phone.

Video:

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/HZX0jhTTlcc"></oembed>

Parts needed:

4x 4mmOD springs (link below)

1x DJI OM Magnetic Ring (link below)

2x M3 4mm socket set screws (link below)

Just cut the external ring from the magnetic part (the trick is to cut it right in the middle and pull the two pieces out) and glue it to the 3D printed body part.

Springs: https://amzn.to/3CpKG9j

Magnetic Ring: https://amzn.to/3rtlecE

Screws: https://amzn.to/3SThrkQ

Enjoy!
