Though we think of Peace during the holiday season, it's something we should be thinking about all the time. Make Peace and share with family, friends and the people you meet.

Peace is part of my 2018 Holiday Collection. These are easy to print 3D typographic decorations.

Peace looks great in clear, silver and white filaments. To make the model more interesting use the Prusa Slicer to leave off the top surface and experiment with different infills and wall thicknesses. It looks great with the radial Archimedian cords or open Gyroid infills. Experiment!

Print instructions

Category: Signs & Logos Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3 MMU 2

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: .20

Infill: 15-20%

Filament: Atomic, CC3D, Inland PLA, PETG Silver, white, clear
Notes:

Holidays colors recommended in PLA. Translucent colors in PETG.

Models come in 3-4 sizes with Z heights of individual letters optimized for each model size. A and some B size models include pass through holes for adding a string so they can be hung as ornaments. A size models are designed to work as holiday pins you can attach to your clothing. Just add bar pins and epoxy to the back. C and D sizes are for holiday decorations.

In PLA, standard .20mm settings should work fine on most 3D printers. If printed in PETG, suggest that speed be slowed down to 35mm and infill slowed down to under 100.

Filaments used in these models:

Amazon Basics Red and Green. Atomic Filament Silver, Dark Bronze, Orange, Transparent Orange, Natural, Granite White and Starlight Gray. CC3D Silky Gold and Silky Silver. Inland White and Yellow.

Techniques Used. As a designer, I often create 3D printed models with adjusted print settings or features enabled to create design details or to enhance 3D effects.

For translucent colors, I slow down infill and shell print speeds to increase transparency and vary infill for each model size.

I sometimes modify infills that show through translucent colors to match the scale of the printed model. With solid colors, I may delete the top layer to reveal a rectilinear or triangle infill for a plaid effect. I print models upside down and delete the top with no infil for a model that can be backlit.
