PD-100 Full Face Respirator Strap Clip Mask Side
thingiverse
I bought the PD-100 Full Face Respirator from Amazon. The package contained all the necessary components, except for one crucial piece - the mask side clip to attach the strapping. I contacted the seller, who promptly agreed to send a replacement. In the meantime, I decided to fabricate my own clip using some basic materials and skills. Yes, it's possible to create something functional with minimal effort. The fabricated clip not only worked as intended but exceeded my expectations in terms of durability and performance. To print this component, I used my Creality CP-01 3D printer with Filament One Orange. The printed clips snapped into place perfectly, providing a secure fit that withstood normal use loads without any issues. To achieve the best results, make sure to fine-tune your extrusion multiplier and adjust the retraction settings accordingly. Turning off the minimum distance setting for retraction is crucial, as it allows the filament to retract smoothly within the 1mm space between the sides. I printed six clips in total, ensuring I had a full set plus one spare that could be stored in my kit. The design was created using Tinkercad, and the outcome exceeded my expectations. These custom-made clips have proven to be reliable and easy to use, making them an essential addition to any 3D printing setup.
