After installation of a step sorter to replace the regular BD ACDU in a BD S6, the issue arose that there was virtually no space in between splash shield and the top of the PCR plate, making it almost impossible to place and remove said plate. In order to remedy this, a redesigned plate holder and splash shield were printed which had more space in between them. Redesigned splash shield is also available in FCCFatMSKCC's design collection.
