PCO 1881 Cap Design
thingiverse
Bottle Cap Design for 3D Printing Applications. This model is specifically created to mate perfectly with PCO 1881 ISBT Neck Finish Standard, the latest material-saving standard in the industry. The 1881 standard defines the bottle neck, but it does not include specifications for the cap itself. To achieve a snug fit between the cap and the bottle neck, this design features a tight match. If you prefer a looser fit, simply scale up the X/Y dimensions to your liking. The thread pitch of this model is 2.7 mm. Be cautious when adjusting the Z scale, as it affects the thread pitch compatibility. The threads in this design are carefully rounded and limited to a 50-degree angle from vertical for optimal printability without support structures. The flat surface at the top of the cap is intentionally oriented upwards, allowing for easy rotation to suit your design needs. When creating a Bottle Mate or similar device, remember to mirror the threads twice to avoid any left-right combination issues. To showcase your creativity, please add a Remix link to your designs that incorporate this model. I'm excited to see what innovative projects you can build with it.
