PCBN Toolholders are engineered to operate effectively with our High Speed Steels that support the 5mm through the larger diameters, up to 30mm, in addition to being designed for a multitude of insert tool designs and applications including machining difficult materials such as Titanium. Our inserts are precision engineered from Cobalt or Vanadium, ensuring an increase in rigidity when using higher RPM settings due to increased shear stress on carbide surfaces. PCBN inserts for turning operations require attention to both cutting speed (SFPM) and the machine setup which helps to extend tool life as the process requires aggressive machining of work pieces. A well-balanced machine tool will be critical when processing extremely difficult material as well, and it should not exceed optimal RPM range values since excessive vibration may lead away from an optimal finishing finish or cut results. The correct handling procedures include proper mounting methods in combination with maintaining accurate settings during use at each machine for desired operation conditions including precise depth settings of cut depths so as to optimize effectiveness in high-precision tooling manufacturing like high-precise parts making by optimizing machining process settings accordingly. Punch diameters such as those required by automotive production operations typically involve specific considerations that dictate higher rigidity in addition to special support requirements during handling which are more aggressive for a better accuracy than general operation procedures.
