To make the through-hole soldering process more efficient, I designed a holder for my 10 boards that are due this weekend. The pockets in the holder ensure perfect positioning of the parts on the XY plane and at the correct height, allowing for vertical soldering in just 5 seconds per part. Furthermore, my board design facilitates simultaneous soldering of all SMD components on the bottom side, reducing production time from 10 minutes to 2 minutes. Lastly, I added a piece of paper in each pocket as a spring-like element to help flatten the parts against the PCB. By following these steps and designing your own holder, you too can streamline your soldering process.
