PCB Machining Vise
thingiverse
This vise is designed for securing printed circuit boards (PCBs) on machine tables. It consists of two L-shaped pieces that clamp onto diagonally opposite corners of the PCB, with long slots for M10 Hex Socket screws and shorter ones accommodating smaller screws, potentially requiring washers or design adjustments. The 0.75mm high walls enable precise board positioning. The short side of the L-shapes features two holes for attaching an extra plate to align one clamp with the machine table's edge. Inspired by the need for a better clamping solution when drilling PCBs on a mill, this design leaves space under the clamp to avoid direct contact with the table. Use at your own risk and consider printing in PLA with 0.25mm layer height, 100% infill, and extra layers for stability. Each part is needed twice for two units, with an arranged set fitting on a Huxley's 140x140mm printbed. Assembly requires M3x16mm screws and nuts, with additional hardware if aligning the L with the machine table edge.
