pcb hold-down (100mm x 70mm)
thingiverse
I found myself needing to hold a 100x70x1.5mm PCB in place so that I could mill it on my CNC machine. I had previously routed a jig, but it wasn't precise enough for the task at hand. I decided to try a 3D print instead, and it came out perfectly as I had hoped. I included a hole in the bottom of the design that allows you to apply pressure to the bottom of the PCB, making it easy to pop it out of the recess once it's been printed. This was a great idea because once the board is seated in the recess, it would be quite difficult to pry it back out without damaging the print or the PCB itself. I wrote this design using OpenSCAD and I've set it up as a customizable template so that users can easily adjust the settings to suit their specific needs.
