The provided LibreCAD (.dxf) files were used for laser cutting a flat surface from 2mm aluminum/steel. It features mounting holes compatible with the PCB heatbed mk2 (http://reprap.org/wiki/PCB_Heatbed). The aluminum heat bed offers faster heating and higher temperatures compared to glass, while remaining undistorted. To ensure adhesion, cover it with kapton tape; painter's tape may work but has not been tested personally.
