PCB GATOR VICE
pinshape
I designed a simple and easy-to-use PCB vice that can be printed. This design uses less hardware than other PCB vices available. The idea for this project came from Thingiverse's design #8194, but I had to make some changes since I didn't have any smooth rod. A solution was found by making modifications. This design is currently only compatible with Mendel printers due to their size requirements. The parts are 175mm and 125mm long, but a smaller version might be created in the future. It's possible to design this unit using plastic components (excluding M4 bolts, washers, and wing nuts). This first model was intended as a proof of concept and functions well. The coupling parts have been designed with a .3mm offset to accommodate various printers. When the wing nut is tightened, it creates a strong grip between both parts without any wobble. Instructions for printing: Print one PCB GATOR ARM Print two PCB GATOR GRIPPERS Find the following components: Two M4 X 20mm screws (or longer) Two M4 Washers Two M4 Wing nuts Assembly and mounting are required. Below, you will find STL files ready to print as well as Solidworks files for further editing.
With this file you will be able to print PCB GATOR VICE with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on PCB GATOR VICE.
