PCB Etching Standoff
thingiverse
Simple hold-downs for PCB etching keep the lower side secure at the bottom, resulting in a more even etch. This solution is designed specifically for 1.6mm PCBs. It's recommended to print multiple copies so that you can select the ones with the best fit and have some spares on hand. Printing in a material that is chemically inert to your preferred etchant, which should be CuCl2 by the way, is probably a good idea... I printed in PETg, which is compatible with any etchant as far as I know. Due to its hollow design, this hold-down shouldn't add much buoyancy. Dimensions: Slot width: 1.7mm (for 1.6mm PCB + photoresist) Distance from one end to the PCB: 10mm on both sides (the etchant bath should be at least 15mm deep)
