PCB drill press for proxxon fsb 240/E
thingiverse
This is a drill press stand for Proxxon FSB 240/E. Designed specifically to drill PCBs, you place the board underneath the stand, allowing you to drill large boards with unlimited precision. When working with small boards, simply add a piece of extra board under the stand to prevent wobbling. The result is impressive: I've checked it with a dial indicator and found it's more precise than using a rotary tool alone. This stand boasts two stop-blocks, giving you control over height settings. The maximum travel distance of the stand is approximately 80mm. On the picture shown, my design isn't yet complete; I'm still waiting for parts to arrive from my local supplier, as I don't currently have access to a 3D printer at home. To build this drill press stand, you'll need: * Two pieces of 8mm smooth rod (around 300mm in length, depending on the spring used) * Two longer M8 threaded rods than the smooth rods themselves * Three shorter M8 threaded rods (approximately 60mm each) * One exceptionally long M8 threaded rod (around 1500mm) * Twenty-one M8 nuts * Twenty-five M4 nuts * Twenty-three M4 bolts * A handful of 8mm washers * Four LM8UU bearings * Two 608 bearings * One or more pull springs to elevate the drill up to its working position
