PCB DIN rail mount

A colleague requested a PCB holder for DIN-rails to make tinkering easier. It's meant to be used with a DIN-rail stand which can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3690627 You can mount the PCB in two different orientations as shown in the renderings. ) Mounting option #1 is the default setup. This should be fine for most PCBs. ) Mounting option #2 can be used for PCBs which feature components very close to the PCBs edges or when access to front- and backside matters. ) In both cases I recommend inserting a M5 hex nut and fasten it from the front- or backside with an M5 x ~20/30mm screw. ) For mounting option #2 you're supposed to use some surface that prevents slipping. Some foam-rubber or cork or silicone pad could be attached. ) Optionally you can insert some M3 hex nuts into the cutout on the backside. With these and some long M3 screws you can apply additional pressure to the PCB if you opt for #2. I've uploaded 3 different versions of the PCB-DIN-rail-mounting-blocks: ) If you want to insert a metal hex nut, print "halter_9_gr.stl". ) In case you want to print the M5-thread directly (which can be kind of challenging), you can use "halter10_gr.stl" and since you're at it, you can try to print the thumbscrews "schrauberl_10.stl" as well (not tested yet). ) "halter*_11_gr.stl" is the same as #10 but with a more coarse and print-friendly thread (not tested yet as well). edit: There's another version "halter_*_12_gr.stl" available now which features another hole to mount the clip from the frontside. It's meant to be used for DIN rails attached to a wall (not suspending on a fixture like the one linked above). This one is also slightly wider so in many cases there's not even a need for this additional hole due to the increased friction. editedit: This is getting confusing. So I've discarded all the other versions. #12 is the way to go. Additionally I've uploaded some printable M5 thumbwheel-screws in different lenghts to fit all different kinds of DIN-rails. BTW, if anything doesn't work please tell me. Thingiverse is completely broken again and is giving me several errors when uploading files/editing things/doing anything.
