PCB Clamp
thingiverse
I saw this project "The Revolutionary SBSS from W1REX & QRPme" on QRPme.com and thought it was worth trying out. Their product is precision-crafted and undeniably superior, but... I added a notch cutout to create space for components that were already soldered in place. It probably would have been better to make the slot wider. I used 1-inch nylon 10-24 knurled thumbscrews. I shortened two of them for the back/thinner wall. I employed a taper tap for the 10-24 holes, followed by an OSG spiral bottoming tap. The bottoming tap was run through each hole until the screws turned smoothly (2-3 times). I used a similar bottoming tap for the 1/4-20 hole on the bottom. I got into a discussion about the undercut and concluded that it made sense at the time, as many decisions do in the middle of the night. In the updated scad file, if uc_side is set to 0, no undercut is created. I added an STL file with no undercut.
