This project was born out of a desire to create an RC plane with exceptional performance, predictability, and gentle handling characteristics, similar to the real Pilatus Turbo Porter. By combining foam's light weight, moderate resistance, fast print speed, and easy cutting with 3D printed parts' precision, replicability, and complex geometry in critical areas, we've achieved a highly maintainable and repairable aircraft. The corresponding factory file is available for Simplify3D users. To print the motor mount: * Place the object on the heat bed with the front facing upwards. * Explode the object into 7 support pieces and the final piece. * Print the motor mount with 2 perimeter layers, 3 top and bottom layers, and 100% infill. * Print the 7 support pieces at 1 perimeter layer, 1 or 2 bottom layers, 0 top layers, and 0% infill until a height of 27mm is reached. Then switch to 10-15% infill. * Use a separation distance of 0.3mm between supports and objects. * I recommend using a 0.2mm layer height. I appreciate any testing or feedback on this piece.
