PC case air intake filter box (80×140mm)
thingiverse
Long ago I notice a problem on my computer case: it has a slot for a fan behind a facade with almost no hole to let air flow through! A very regrettable design flaw! A second common problem is dust accumulation inside the computer. My solution to these two problems is to open the facade and create an air intake with a filter in a box behind it, held by a grid in front of it. Additional hardware needed: * 4 M4 nuts * 4 M4 x 10 mm screws * Air filter The nuts are inserted into "boite.obj," which is placed inside the case. The "gabari.*" files have two purposes: * Help drilling holes: one for air intake and one for screws. * Help cutting the air filter. The air filter I bought was too dense, so I had to cut it. If you know where to buy good ones, let me know in the comments. To open the box, simply unscrew 2 of the 3 screws holding the front grid in place and loosen the third one a bit. Then turn the grid; the box will remain in place due to the 2 remaining screws. Screw the other screw back up and you're done!
