PC 140mm Air Filter
thingiverse
I have this weird fascination with ATX-sized air handlers. Modern ATX cases use mesh air filters and they only stop the big stuff like hair. Years ago, ATX cases and some fan accessories used open-cell foam to act as a filter. The foam is a little better than the mesh, but it breaks down after a while, and you can't vacuum it clean more than 2 or 3 times before it starts to shred. So what is this engineer to do? Build his own. The STL files are located here, but you should head over to Hackaday.io for the tools/parts list, print/assembly instructions, OpenSCAD files, and lots of pictures. https://hackaday.io/project/177933-pc-140mm-air-filter https://github.com/Turranx/PC_Air_Filter
