PBRtoMaya2018.1: Streamlining the Process of Inputting PBR Textures in Maya with Rendering Engine Materials Introducing PBRtoMaya2018.1, an easy-to-use tool that simplifies the process of inputting PBR textures into Maya's rendering engine materials. It supports Windows and OSX systems, Maya versions 2017 and 2018, and various render engines including Vray3.6, Vray Next, RenderMan22, and Arnold5. The tool features a simplified user interface for easy navigation and customization of Substance Painter texture presets for all rendering engines. It also allows you to import PBR textures from Substance Painter, Megascans, Poliigon, and more to create Maya rendering engine materials. User-friendly features include automatic setting of SubD, displacement, and shading using reference Megascans 3D assets and FBX data in Maya. The tool also addresses Vray's GPU limitation by providing an easy-to-work shading network and adding official shortfall options for color correction nodes. Additionally, the tool offers a special Vray leaves material for use with Megascans 3D plants. It supports textures for Triplanar Mapping, making it easier to build large scenes. In the 1.1 release, PBRtoMaya2018.1 now supports RedShift rendering and automatically adjusts Megascans displacement scale size based on metadata. The tool also references Megascan data by name in the metadata ID for easy organization.
