Payment Day, The King's Sword
thingiverse
I modeled The King's Sword on Blender using King Amethar's character art provided by the show as reference, with a nod to the artist Samir Barrett, whose Instagram is @sktchmsterskllz. I didn't dare say its name so as to avoid being struck down by it. Huge thanks go out to one of my best buddies who went above and beyond in giving me pointers, cleaning up the model, and preparing the sword for printing. Check out his Thingiverse page, because he's got a fantastic Gravity Hammer (@UNO_Sebastian) - you can find the link to it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3613094. From the tip of the sword to the peanut pommel on top, the King's Sword is 59 inches long, ten inches shorter than I predicted King Amethar's sword would be based on his seven-inch frame. The parts are cut to fit an Ender-3. The "THREE" files are for smaller prints - I made one that's twenty percent of the original size and it's about twelve inches long, with pictures included. Just a thought: you might only need to print two of one piece. In other words, you don't have to necessarily print both left and right sides; you could just print either side twice. Along with the sword pieces, you'll also need to print: - Thirty cube_A parts - Four cube_B parts - Four cube_C parts And I'm sorry, but on top of that, you'll need to make a quick stop at a hardware store or anywhere that sells wooden dowels (for me, it was Home Depot) to get: - One 1-inch diameter dowel, 48 inches long - One 0.5-inch diameter dowel, six inches long I had a blast modeling and working on this prop! Again, huge thanks to UNO_Sebastian and Samir Barrett! Please share your builds and feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Hope you guys enjoy this!
